A high amount of companies ends up in bankruptcy nowadays. What does it take to make a great business? How can one translate time, money and energy into a profitable company? Well, Locksmith Sumner’s founder, Jack Martinez, has an interesting answer to those questions.
In the mid 80’s, Jack was completely broke after he tried started a small venture that ended in disaster. Born and raised in Sumner, he refused to leave his hometown and lived in a tiny room with no windows. He had some new business ideas, but no money. Unfortunately, every financial option left was exhausted, so there wasn’t much chance to put his ideas into motion. Needless to say, that didn’t make Jack step back, not even an inch.
“I was excellent with manual jobs that required precision and eye-hand coordination, so I just needed someone that believed in me,” he said. Soon, he continued his search for partners to start a business, and after some conversations, he found a veteran locksmith with a small workshop in his garage. Martinez offered his help to grow the business and trained himself in the locksmithing arts. After a few months, he ended up running the new business and opened the first agency in Graham Ave, near the Main Street.
The Year was 1995, and the city’s economy was starting to bloom. This gave Jack the momentum he needed to achieve his dream, and he put his five cents in expanding the business to cover the entire city. Since then Locksmith Sumner has opened three agencies and a dedicated team of locksmiths that work 24/7 to offer a fast and timely service. “Miracles don’t exist. They are just consequences of hard work and good will”.
